All Color Classic mods began with this magazine. Tak Imai, a pioneer in Macintosh mods up to the PowerPC era, was a legend in Japan. Somehow, he knew things that only manufacturer insiders would know, and he shared this knowledge widely with people through Macintosh magazines. On his website at the time, Japanese hackers discussed and shared various hardware hacking ideas. When I returned to the world of vintage Macs, I was quite surprised that people worldwide were recreating what we were doing back then. This made me think there might still be things I could do in the Macintosh world, so I founded Kero’s Mac Mods. I wanted you all to know about this magazine, the origin of my vintage Mac journey. So, I’ve decided to sell a few magazines from my collection. Of course, these are collector’s items even in Japan today. Quantities are limited, so get them quickly. Here’s the magazine’s introduction:

1997 Bunkasha-published 'Doping MAC: Super Upgrade Techniques for Old Macs!' used book. Authored by Tak Imai, Makoto Akiduki, the 'Ultimate SE/30 Creation Club,' and 'Ultimate Color Classic Creation Club,' this legendary guide sparked the Color Classic's massive popularity in Japan. Packed with detailed tutorials on CPU upgrades, 68040 overclocking techniques, and compact Mac case modifications, it captures the passion and hacking spirit of 1990s Japanese Mac enthusiasts. During the PowerPC transition, these techniques pushed vintage Macs to their limits, laying the groundwork for today's thriving Color Classic modding scene. Some signs of use, but a must-have for Macintosh enthusiasts and retro computer fans!
