Beleth’s Drum is a sound simulator that reproduces the signature "literacy splatter" sound—similar to a hard drive—on silent devices like BlueSCSI. It achieves this using a high-grade relay. The playback is controlled by an Atmel's microcontroller Tiny13A.
Connection Guide
To connect Beleth’s Drum to BlueSCSI(V1 and V2), use the ACT output pin to extract the + and – (anode and cathode) signals and wire them accordingly.
Since the device cannot operate at the low voltage used for LED illumination, you’ll need to supply 5V power via a Berg cable for the floppy drive.
The relay operation activates an LED, which is removable. If you extend the wiring to your Mac’s front panel, you can illuminate an LED there as well. However, a bi-color LED is not recommended, as it does not clearly distinguish colors compared to the Beezul-Bulb.
Compatible Devices
While Beleth’s Drum is designed primarily for use with BlueSCSI, it can also connect to other devices with an LED output voltage of approximately 2V. This includes CF card adapters and SSDs. *As long as it is GND control.
